Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Proportio (“we”) for using Proportio. By using it, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

Who can use Proportio

You must be 18 or older. Only analyze photos of yourself, never of anyone else, and never of a minor.

What the results are

Proportio compares the geometry of your face and body with other people of your gender (and, for faces, your background), using published research and public reference data, such as the Face Research Lab London Set, the US Army ANSUR II survey and the CDC's NHANES survey. A score of 5 is typical. Scores are for information and entertainment. They don't capture everything that makes someone attractive, they aren't a measure of your worth, and they aren't medical, cosmetic or psychological advice. Talk to a qualified professional before making decisions about your health or appearance.

Tips and suggestions

Pro includes tips to improve each feature: general styling, grooming, posture and fitness suggestions, not personal advice. Check with a doctor before starting a new exercise program or changing your weight, and stop any exercise that causes pain. BMI is a general health guide, not a diagnosis. Some features are set by bone structure and can't be changed by these tips.

Your account

Keep your password safe; you're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time in Settings.

Subscriptions

• Free shows your best and worst features. Basic ($2.99/month) adds your score, every feature's score and measurements. Pro ($9.99/month) adds tips for every feature, the full synergy analysis and the body scan.
• Basic and Pro are monthly subscriptions, billed in advance through Stripe until you cancel.
• If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Payments aren't refunded for partial periods, except where the law requires it. Deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately.
• If we change prices, we'll tell you before your next payment at the new price. Existing subscriptions keep their price until then.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse Proportio: no photos of other people or of minors, no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, and no using results to harass anyone. We may suspend accounts that do.

Our service

We work to keep Proportio accurate and available, but it's provided “as is”, and we may change or discontinue features. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
